Rosie’s involvement and love of animals stems from birth, being born in Nairobi, Kenya East Africa. She Rode Horses to Grand-Prix Dressage level and B grade Show Jumping and has had a passion for animals her entire life.
Her Film Industry experience spans over 20+ years and includes the TV series "Xena Warrior Princess", where she worked in the horse department for 7 years, ultimately as coordinator for the final season. She worked and trained with horses, chariots, carts and our very talented actors on the successful series. She was Horse Department Coordinator on the TV series "Young Hercules" starring Ryan Gosling and also trained the horses on the other TV shows, such as: Jack-of-all-Trades, Hercules and Cleopatra.
Rosie has been training all species of animals for Animals On Q since 2003, as Senior Trainer/Coordinator. She is proficient in the art of clicker training and uses this technique across a huge range of animals. She also has a wealth of knowledge of the Film Industry and what is required from our Animal Stars. Rosie has a wonderfully calm, patient and caring approach to animals and people, which makes her shine as a coordinator on film set, communicating well between Directors and Actors.
Rosie loves any challenging training task and has successfully trained animals for a variety of jobs, from Ginny the driving dog, Cleo the hawk, numerous horse jobs including the National Bank series, though to Flynn (her own very talented dog). Rosie has a great sense of humor, which is something you need when working with animal stars.
